ExploreMusic - opens today!

Our new music information service for the region, ExploreMusic, opens its doors for the first time today at 5pm* 17th December as part of The Sage Gateshead's opening weekend festival.

In anticipation of the new service point opening in the Joan and Margaret Halbert Space at The Sage Gateshead, we have recently launched ExploreMusic Online.

ExploreMusic Online provides access to a range of online music resources, plus information about resources we provide at our service point in The Sage Gateshead.

Online Resources
From this website, anyone using Gateshead Council Libraries public access PCs can access Classical Music Library and Naxos Music Library - music recordings online - and Grove Music Online, a vast dictionary of music.

We also provide a free listings service, accessible from anywhere in the world, for the whole of the Northern Region which contains information on music tutors, activites, events, and more...

If you have been to a concert at The Sage Gateshead you can visit our biographies pages to find out more about the artists you've seen.

Don't forget our mission - any music query answered.

Text, telephone or email us now, or *visit us from Friday 17th December if you have tickets for opening weekend or from Monday 20th December when the building opens to the general public.
