Pet Hate What, just one?!
  • People who walk slowly in town and move when you try to pass them
  • Rude people
  • People smoking near me
  • Lateness - There is NO excuse and I get very very annoyed
  • Pigeons. These flying rats of Satan need to be stopped
  • Bars that think they’re nightclubs and have music so loud I can’t talk to anyone
  • Political correctness when it’s gone mad
  • People who think they’re in a ’special group’ because they listen to Classical music - Music is for everyone and the classical genre will die out soon if it doesn’t attract new listeners. (Wow, that sounded too serious to be me!)
  • The 5p coin - how rubbish is it, seriously!!

    The serious bit
I love all types of music: Classical, Opera, Jazz, Blues, Gospel, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s Rock ’n’ Roll, 60s, 70s, some 80s, Musicals, Country, Folk ... as a start!
I’ve been playing piano for 16 years and writing music since I was 12. Strangely enough it was Mozart who started me writing, though at the time I didn’t like his music much (BIG sorry!). Right now I’m writing a musical with another guy - we’re telling the true story of Anastasia. It’s going really well so far, and you can hear some very rough demos at: www.myspace.com/anastasiathemusical. Let us know what you think ;-)
I’ve been singing since I was very young and am a former member of The National Youth Choir, though I favour more secular songs now ... I’ve been a massive Elton fan *blushes* since I discovered him properly 5 years ago. His early little-known stuff has taught me so much about chords and harmony, and his writing back than was simply awesome.
