Do you want to check out an artist, piece of music, conductor or composer before you buy a ticket for one of The Sage Gateshead's concerts? Or perhaps you loved a concert so much that you want to find out more? If so, this page is for you! Below there is a list of the resources we provide in ExploreMusic, as well as advice about where to look for information on the Internet. If, after following the pointers below, you still can't find what you're looking for then please do contact the ExploreMusic team, who will be more than happy to help you with your enquiry. Happy searching!

Information on the Internet
Artist's websites
Most artists will have their own website where you can find biographies, listen to tracks and get event information. If they don't have their own site they'll certainly have pages on their record label's or agent's sites. You might even find some fan sites - but remember that the information they provide can't always be relied upon. The best way to find artist sites is by searching on Google - www.google.com

Other useful websites
  • http://allmusic.com - for biographies, discographies & sound clips type the artists' name into the search box.
  • www.bbc.co.uk - for interviews, reviews, live shows & details of awards and competitions. Also has dedicated music learning section.
  • www.jazzservices.org.uk - details of jazz contacts, festivals, education, networking ideas and much more.
  • www.thesagegateshead.org - for info on Northern Sinfonia & the other The Sage Gateshead ensembles.
